Does anyone know what the law says about people cutting the sreet curb to make their own driveway in front of their own house? I see this from time to time. Some home owners will make space in their front yard next to the stoop, to park their car and boldly make a driveway. They cut the curb, and paint a yellow line and hang a sign saying “NO PARKING!”
Permits are required for such curb cuts. I know this for a fact because it was one of the hold-ups for my new home. Check the dob website for the property that you are wondering about. If they have the proper permit, the fact that it is permitted will appear on the latest C of O.
OP here…..Just noticed the thread on the home page. But it still doesn’t answer the question. What is the law on this subject?
