toilet backflow problem

We have a tankless toilet in our cellar powder room. We seem to have problem of backflow of some dirty water from the toilets at higher floors coming into the bowl of this toilet. Not a lot, but it doesn’t smell good and the water becomes discolored. Please offer suggestions on how to remedy this.
