I’m considering installing a paperstone countertop in my kitchen. Any pros/cons? And can you recommend someone with paperstone experience to install it. Thanks.

  1. We’ve been planning to use Paperstone, thinking it was a cheaper alternative to soapstone. It is supplied by Bettencourt Green Building Supply in Williamsburg. If anyone has had this intalled for a reasonable price, please let me know who has done the installation. The raw price per square foot for 1-1/4 Paperstone Certified is $55, and I just got a quote where the installed price was over $200 per square foot — more than soapstone or granite I think!!

  2. Ha Ha. I would also be interested if any one has any paperstone sources, experience costs. Getting ready to replace my counter and pondering the options.
I belive paperstone is similar to soapstone but made out of recycled paper.
