I have the pieces for a historic parquet floor (1890’s) with mahogany and walnut trim strips. This flooring came off my double parlor floor. It broke my heart to take it up but I had to replace the subfloor and the back room had a lot of water damage — 31 square feet which were badly damaged — and so I threw them away but kept all the others. I looked into the cost of replacing these tiles, but in the end, it was all too much, so I decided to replace the floor.
Anyway, I now have what is left of the original floor for any intrepid soul who could use it. All the side strips and about 1200 square feet of parquets (minus the damaged stuff which I threw out). About 400 square feet is nicely bound up and taped, the rest of it was a rough demo job and is residing in my basement in contractor garbage bags.
It is red oak, select grade, square foot parquets containing 7 strips.
I am interested in selling this, but at a nominal cost to anyone who could use it. I just need to be rid of it hopefully by this week. If there is any interest, please contact me.
Justine,
I just sold it. Sorry.
I am interested in the parquet if you still have it. It sounds beautiful and would be going into our brownstone which at the moment has no floor at all! tks. 917-309-2133
Hi:
Thanks for letting us see the floor Monday night – I don’t think it’s going to work in our space, but we appreciate your time & effort in showing us the pieces. I hope the floors go to a good home. Sorry for posting, but couldn’t find your number.
Hello – brownstoneproud owner – right off the bat, I’ll offer you $1000 sight unseen. Don’t take anything less from anyone, there are lots of unscrupulous people out there who’d just turn around and resell it.
I’m very interested in this – call me at 917-806-0750. The floor will go in the parlor floor of my brownstone – there is parquet right now, but there are some water damaged areas that I need to replace. I will offer you a very fair price & pick it up by the end of the week. Contact me ASAP.
I would like it.. How much??
I am VERY interested. It would be perfect for
a renovation I’m doing.
How can you be contacted? I’m at gsnyder@tmail.com
Thanks!
