I have very creaky floors, my contractor had told me that the floors were cheaply done when the building was first converted in the 80’s. The boards are of varrying lengths and some are not nailed in, just squeezed between other boards. Anyway, I didn’t want to replace them just yet, does anyone have any suggestions on how to minimze the noise?

  1. Long ago I read some where that if you sprinkle baby powder in between the boards it helps reduce the squeek.
    Might be worth a shot.
