After submitting a review of my last contractor’s walking out to the new NY website Angie’s list (angieslist.com). They used me and our brownstone (see my brownstone … carroll gardens renovation) as a PR piece on the hazards of renovation. WNBC is coming out next year to interview myself as well as Angie about the process… Hopefully I can get the 2 contractors names in the interview. I’ve warned the new contractor about the strings that I can pull…
I’ll keep the forum updated on the interview.

  1. Ummm. the last line was in jest. and if you had an extra 200,000-300,000 dollars and a year and a half added to your renovation… your view of contractors and the system changes a bit. Unfortunately, the system leaves the homeowner at a bit of a disadvantage.

  2. Is it Ask Asa? We had a situation a few years back with our month-old car that Asa solved- long story short, the car had some issues and neither the manufacturer or insurance company took any responsibility for 3 months. Once Asa was on the case, the situation was resolved immediately. Story aired, case closed. Asa and his crew rock. Good luck.

By the way, and off topic…the car was a VW Passat and the insurance carrier was Travellers. I promised both of them that I would take every opportunity to soil their names in the future. They both truly suck.
