In looking through several kitchen books I noticed several photos of resin flooring. Mostly used for commercial space, it is now becoming more popular in residence. I’ve often noticed it in medical facilities and thought what a clean, sleek look and how easy it must be to sweep and mop. I’m thinking about putting it in the basement that will be mostly used for a recreational play and a laundry area. Can any one tell me how resin flooring is installed, for it looks like it one complete sheet of flooring? What is the cost and how durable is it?

  1. I have seen it used in one case where they added (sprinkled) a colorful glitter like substance onto the surface. The installers where shoes with long spikes that allow them to walk on the wet surface.
