John Hathaway
Has anyone used John Hathaway to do minor renovation work on their co-op/condo apartments? If so, pluses and minuses?

anon at 1:42….who did you wind up using for your co-op renovation? did you like their work?
I’ve heard good things, but he was decidedly uninterested in our co-op renovation. I think he does more major full brownstone renovations these days.
I know him by reputation (and some tangental dealings) to be a good architect and very personable.

we worked with john on our garden apt conversion. he’s very easy going and a pleasure to work with. he was a cabinet maker himself, so he is very knowledgable about craftsmanship. when we are ready to finish the rest of the house, we will continue to work with him. highly recommended. (our conversion is one of many featured on his website–the degraw street kitchen/dining room).
I am using John Hatheway on my brownstone renovation. Its a big project and he has done a great job. He is responsive and has great ideas. He is also a great job. John has done work for many of my friends in Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill.
