Park Slope 4th Ave Noisey?

I was looking at an apt near the union ave stop on 4th ave in park slope. It is on the 2nd floor about 1/3 of the way up from 4th ave towards 5th ave. In answer to your question: It’s loud, and the grit and grime is more severe than it is on the avenues just up the hill.
It’s amazing to me how far the real-estate madness has gone. I can’t wait to see what brokers charge for the new apts going up on 4th Ave. Whatever the price, it’ll be too high.
It is def. loud and super noisy. Will be a drag in the summer if you need the windows open. Plus, the dirt from the exhaust is gross and will be all over everything in your apt.
I lived on the corner of 4th avenue and Union for 2 yrs — it is extrmely LOUD!!!!!!!!! Don’t do it.
But look on the bright side- you are close to gas stations and McDonalds…you might be able to hail a yellow cab
Thats a really great intersection for some terrific car accidents. If you like mad max you will like your new place
4th Avenue is a racetrack non-rush-hours; during rush hour if there’s a breakdown on the Gowanus Expressway 4th Ave is the main overflow route.
Caveat emptor.
The Union Street bus will be a bit noisey.
