Non-Bowery Lighting
Looking for a reasonably priced lighting fixture store NOT on the Bowery. Looking for a simple pedant to hang outside over the stoop. Any suggestions?

Stay away from Lighting by Gregory.
The customer service is horrible. They lie about when items are ordered or when they’ll ship.
On top of it all they are rude. The items I ordered came in wrong and LBG refused to take any responsibility for it.
Check out Lamp Warehouse on 39th St & Fort Hamilton Parkway.
If you do go to the Bowery places, go to their online store first (and tell them you did) – the prices are better than when you go in person. The website is friendlier, too. I just bought one of the Restoration Hardware ceiling fans much cheaper at Lighting by Gregory on the Bowery.
Try Rejuvenation at http://www.rejuvenation.com. Great selection and quality for reproduction period lighting — Victorian through 1950s.
Surprisingly, I got a perfectly historic one at Pinchik on Flatbush. Their customer service is great too.
I really like Moon River Chattel in Williamsburgh…
Manhattan Lighting on Coney Island Ave
look at the latest apt therapy list of best lighting. lots of options.
You should check out Lowe’s or Home Depot. They’re your best bet for a reasonably priced pendant.
