We are planning to convert our 4 story, 3 family with duplex and 2 rentals into triplex with 1 rental. We also plan to build up additional stories onto an existing extension (we arew/in FAR, etc.). We are looking for architect to use from start to finish and contractor rec’s. Our house previously underwent a modernist renovation by previous owner, so we want an architect great a blending the old with the new and with alot of construction experience. Thanks ahead for the rec’s.

  1. I highly recommend the architects coggan&crawford. This is my second stage of renovating this house and I have hired other architects in the past. They are working with me on my North Slope brownstone, and I love how and what they are doing! Phone # 718-254-9665. They have are great at putting together modern elements and original Victorian details. .

  2. Prospect Architecture could be a great fit for your needs. My firm specializes in sustainable design-build work. I am a licensed architect and LEED Accredited (look at http://www.usgbc.org to find out more about LEED), worked for Robert A. M. Stern Architects as a Project Architect and Project Manager, and gained construction and general contracting experience, before starting my own firm. My local work has been a coop renovation, a gut renovation w/ sustainable focus of a Park Slope brownstone, and I have designed and am currently renovating another land marked brownstone in Park Slope. I can take your project from conception through to the time you move into your renovated house by offering Construction Management services for a fixed fee in addition to the standard Architecture services. This eliminates the need for a general contractor and expedites the whole process. Please call us for a free consultation if you think our services might fit your needs. Thanks.
