Can someone please give me contact info on this architectural/expediting firm on Atlantic Avenue? I can’t seem to find a website. Also would be interested in hearing how people’s experiences have been with them.
Thanks

  1. i know of this architect that works on brooklyn & manhattan brownstones.
she get all her stuff done perfectly.
i’ve heard nothing but good things.
(except she tends to take her time)
but for a great job, i’ll live with that.
    (& shes cute too, lol)

  2. He is all the things stated here. I have used him. He is great if you are renovating an investment property. If you need a permit he will get you one very very quickly. There is no creativity here, he is not interested in details or artistry. He is interested in building code. He knows the boundarys and will get you through all the roughing of a project (structure, plumbing, ventilation etc). He has an enourmous library of building files and has plans for many many houses in Brooklyn. There is a reason he is only blocks from the buildings dept. He will talk to you if you just walk in off the street early in the morning. He is very entertaining and obnoxious.

  3. Knows his stuff, and since his family has been in the business for a couple of generations, knows a vast amount about each building in the borough (and probably has a file on it in his office), but since they’re so busy, no attention to detail. Let your architect deal directly with their office, he’s pretty annoying and obnoxious. That said, they are the expeditor everyone uses.

  4. Best I can figure they are very good at the expediting side of things. The reputation is that if they say something is legal, the building Depatment will agree, so they will get thing though quickly. For the contractor that I know Schnall is who they use to get all the permits. Schnall has open hours with free consultation between 7am and 7:30.

I have no idea what their reputation is as architects interms of creativity and attention to design detail.

  5. tried contacting them once on something, they didn’t seem that helpful. I think expiditors don’t like working with owners/non-professionals. If you’re looking for architects, look elsewhere.
