GC for retail space?
Sorry this is slightly off topic – not a brownstone, but. . . I’m looking for reco’s for a GC for a smallish job in Park Slope. I’m opening a retail shop on 5th and need some work done – demo, floor, patch & paint, electrical. Any advice? Thanks!

You can call Tony at Ace Floors, 718-363-2593. He’s done a number of jobs for me (he does more than just floors) and recently reno’d a commercial space on 7th Ave. I know the leaseholders of that space were pretty happy because they had him back to do additional work. He has the resources to take on a big job but will also do small jobs. Tell him you got his name from Ben.
I wouldn’t put him in the category of a restorer so if you’re looking for fine detail work he may not be a good fit but for what you describe, demo, patch, paint, etc. he’s a good guy who’ll do a good job at a good price.
BTW, what kind of store are you opening and where?
