The fact of the matter is this project will happen, there is not enough protest in the world that can stop it! Just deal with it! If we could not stop that horrible AC there is no way to stop the AY.
I am more sure the people around Madison Square Garden and Yankee Stadium, & Shea felt the same way. Its Change, and change sucks!

So – what are you doing to make sure we get “the best possible product out of this project”?
It seems that the message of the rally was something that you, who is “neutral on AY” (but clearly not neutral in your opinion about the opponents) and project opponents like DDDB, Brooklyn Speaks could agree on: two blight-inducing blocks of parking isn’t necessary to build this project.
There aren’t two blocks of parking for construction workers at the Trade Center site.
Whether for or against the project, we’re all going to be dealing with the impacts of this project long before we see any of its purported benefits.

Just three posts? Mr. B when are you going to learn and stop schilling for these nimbots? No one cares about this issue anymore. I’m sorry but it’s so true. It’s really over now and those of us who are neutral on the AY issue are now focusing our time and effort in making sure the we get the best possible product out of this project.

I’m a four year Clinton Hill resident, and I feel like I’ve only been a casual observer in whats been going on with AY. I can’t really say that I’ve ever been presented with a lot of clear information for or against the project that didn’t feel overly propaganized, immediately putting me off. I did, however, feel like this video was very well put together, and it makes me wish that I’d been paying closer attention earlier in the process. I guess it mostly just makes me feel embarrassed that I don’t pay closer attention to local development issues.
