wall ad
It’s probably been there forever, but we just noticed the marketing synergies that Two Trees is leveraging by advertising one project on the wall of another. This sign just makes us want to make a bee-line through Brooklyn Heights over to Dumbo to put down our deposit. How can the little guy compete with these economies of scale?

  1. I know not a real serious post – but was glad for opportunity to vent on what I think is big eyesore for Atlantic Avenue(and its not such a pretty street to begin with). I have to pass it often (on way to the new Y in that bldg).
Just one of my pet peeves – as some of the new construction around is yours.
    So thanks.

  2. Yeah, the sign is hideous. In the fog and rain, its amber flickering gives all of Boerum Hill a pulsing glow found only in nuclear test sites.

Got nothing against neon and bright signs. BAM has a nice sign. But I agree with Anon 11:42 – any sympathy for Two Trees as a community-minded developer is gone after this sign and their desire to build a high-rise on St. Ann’s blocking the Brooklyn Bridge view.

  3. The sign is so offensive looking and tacky -I’d think it would backfire– who looking for ‘upscale’ priced property would be enticed by such low-class advertising.
Two Trees wanted to build over the landmarked bank on the opposite corner (Atlantic and Court)and also a taller than zoning allowed bldg next to it but was denied. First I thought didn’t matter – but when this garish sign went up I changed my mind.
