Schematic Posted for Six-Story Apartment Building in Northern Bed Stuy

We caught this schematic on the fence at 828 Bedford Avenue in Bed Stuy, a block from the Williamsburg border, where foundation work recently began for a six-story apartment development. Plans for the 11-unit building were first filed in 2002, but the latest round of new building permits were issued in June of this year. The architect of record is De-Jan Lu, and the owner is an LLC who purchased the lot from another LLC for $1,015,125 last year. It looks like the project will be condos, because the previous owners filed a condo declaration in 2009. The property is a sizable 50 by 100 foot vacant lot that once held a car repair shop, according to old tax photos.
