Northern Exposure: North Henry Street New-Build
Just down the block from Feldman lumber, at 240 North Henry on the Northeast corner of Norman, is this slick new development that must qualify as the Northern-most of the new wave of (we assume, in this case) condos. Does anyone know anything about this project? GMAP P*Shark
The design may be scorano’s but the quality and workhandship of the building belong to the builder. I’ve seen the buidling last week, the views from the upper floors should be breathtaking
zanax, you idiot.
hahha just kiddin.
Wow actually normal people reading brownstoner. What happen the Zanex deliveries came early this month for the rest of their readership???
I really like this building! Great design. Who cares if it’s Scarano. What’s the big deal abou that architect anyway?
Looks nice from the outside. Much better than the Fedders boxes.
i live in the area and can say the smell situation has definitely improved. rarely do i smell anything amiss. if anything activates the funk it seems to be rain, not heat. not a major problem.
Greenpointer, I live in the nabe too, and have to say that I haven’t caught even a faint whiff of L’eau de Point (as my husband and I call it) since they completed the waste plant upgrade sometime last year. It used to be a year-round problem, though it was worse in the summer. I’m curious to hear if you (or anyone else) have smelled anything recently?
it’s about a ten block walk to the nassau ave G from there. a decent looking building, but the points raised by gp’er are definitely relevant. $1M price tag would be obscene.
yeah, i’m curious about the storage facility conversion too.
subway; solid fast walkin in flat shoes 10 minutes to G train @ nassau, or you can walk 20-25 mins to the L at bedford or graham. Or take a bus to the L train at lorimer. It really helps to have a car. Dont get me wrong I love Polski-town, but it does have some draw backs.
