minieri.jpg Does yesterday’s announcement that Forest City Ratner’s named a new president mean it’s out with the old for the Atlantic Yards developer? Not so much, it seems. The recently appointed Joanne Minieri, who will also be the company’s chief operating officer, has been with Forest City for 12 years and helped spearhead the development of projects like MetroTech and the new New York Times building, according to Crain’s. Minieri’s also has a big hand in Atlantic Yards planning and says that as a Brooklyn native she’s “especially proud to work for an organization that is committed to bringing real, substantial economic revitalization to the city and borough. Minieri’s assuming the role of prez from Bruce Ratner, but that doesn’t mean Ratner’s about to take a backseat when it comes to steering the company’s operations: He’ll continue to be Forest City’s CEO and also assume the title of chairman.
