New Six-Story Apartment Building to Rise on 28th Street in Astoria

Astoria’s building boom is by no means confined to its main arteries. There’s plenty of action of the side streets as well. Take, for example, this project that recently got underway at 26-25 28th Street. Located on the site of a former two-story house, the development is slated to be six stories tall and contain 29 units, according to the DOB permit approved in June. A sign on the construction fence says that the building should be completed by next summer. We’ve got a photo of the construction site below.
