A reader sent in this photo of 464 Myrtle Avenue at Washington, where work began last week after a long period of inactivity following seizure by U.S. Marshals in 2003. The impetus? The government finally sold the property in March for $820,000, which seems pretty cheap to us. Not wasting any time, the owner has filed with DOB to install a new storefront. It’s unclear whether he’s using the opportunity to do work on the upstairs apartments as well. Any ideas what this place will be? What about the 2003 seizure — drug-related, right? GMAP P*Shark DOB

  1. owner is listed as Golden Harvest Realty LLC but I can’t find info on them

I’m hoping for another chinese food take-out place.

  2. You can keep Suzie. I was just trying to make a public service announcement. I do not know her, in the literal or biblical way.

  3. Does anybody know anything about the buyer? This would be a good place for a bodega with flowers. And Bacitracin for Shahn and Susie.

  4. Yeah, I was thinking that the business downstairs was actually open until about a year or two ago when there was a fire. If there is a lot of fire damage in the building, that would definitely impact the price. Who knows what it will take to get the building in decent shape.

  5. Shahn might want to consider the raunchy, burning sensation that will result from his time with Ed. I mean really…if Susie is a risk, Ed is doubly so.
