A reader sent in this photo of 464 Myrtle Avenue at Washington, where work began last week after a long period of inactivity following seizure by U.S. Marshals in 2003. The impetus? The government finally sold the property in March for $820,000, which seems pretty cheap to us. Not wasting any time, the owner has filed with DOB to install a new storefront. It’s unclear whether he’s using the opportunity to do work on the upstairs apartments as well. Any ideas what this place will be? What about the 2003 seizure — drug-related, right? GMAP P*Shark DOB

  1. Yeah, I was thinking that the business downstairs was actually open until about a year or two ago when there was a fire. If there is a lot of fire damage in the building, that would definitely impact the price. Who knows what it will take to get the building in decent shape.
