We always liked this modest brick building at the corner of Bedford and Division Avenues in South Williamsburg. It reminds of one of those obtuse-shaped buildings you might find in the West Village (like here). The charmer is in the process of a make-over, though, that may leave it a little less charming: As per the DOB app, the building is being gutted of “all existing and non-conforming commercial and community facility uses” and being reborn as a six-unit residential building with a couple of additional floors thrown into the mix. We hope it can be done without totally destroying what’s great about the original structure but it’s fair to say we are not optimistic. GMAP P*Shark DOB
