It looks like it hasn’t made a ton of progress and is, well, still boarded up. The addition of the 4th story, at this point, looks pretty bleak as well. Anyone noticed any recent work taking place on this one?

Yeah, they’ve added an extension on the back, you can see it from the train.
Work continued through the early winter — lots of activity — and then ended completely (after a year of stasis before that). Run out of money again?
Glad to hear the the top will be resurfaced. Phew!
I live down the block from this building. I wouldn’t be to concerned with the look of the 4th floor. They eventually will resurface the building with new brownstone. The issue I see is that the backyard is 25 feet (1 building away) from the F train as it goes underground. Can you imagine the noise and vibration?
Also note I can see that the put in an extension on all 5 floors.
maybe once they saw the construction of OLiver House directly across the street looming
over the block they bailed out…or gave up on the tallest building contest.
I’m never one to argue for context, etc. but that fourth floor addition is hurting my feelings….and likely that of the surrounding neighbors. Is that just the beginnings of it and will eventually blend into the facade of the lower floors? Or is that it? If it’s the latter, YIKES!
OMG, That top floor looks horrible.
I looked at this place a long time ago, the top floor was there but didnt have windows facing the street. Illegal extension existed that needed to be taken down. But if you look at success of first place condos, probably $ to be made here on conversion…
The 4th floor addition hurts my eyes.
