These are two separate buildings. They will each have 31 apartments, There will be 31 off street parking spaces access via an easement on 16th Street.
When will they stop adding on those awful balconies on the front facade, The 16th street building would be halfway decent without them.
Mr A. Jackson is correct about the war zone description. Developers and their army of inept contractors alienated the community from the start and sparking a backlash that resulted in the fastest downzoning in brooklyn history. To put it in perspective, neighbors were willing to sacrifice their own FAR in order to prevent the possibility of 12 story buildings (the Vue, 266 22nd Street, 408 15th Street…
Nope, yer not nutz…16th and 15th Sts have been war zones…um, I mean construction zones since 2004. That’s 6 very long years!
My suggestion to “looking”: stick to “mature” recent developments with few vacancies so you can get financing. Resales may be a good bet since some do come up with 25 year tax abatements no longer available in Park Slope. You’ll be able to research comp sales so you can make educated offers. Let us know your budget, apt. size requirements, etc. and perhaps we can point you in the right direction.

wow–is it just me or is there a CRAZY amount of new construction/condo’s coming up on 16th-7th street–between 3rd and 5th ave. are there buyers for all of this???
While now notched down into “contextual ZR,” does the hybrid “modern+traditional” design always have to look so crappy? Sea of brick, crappy balconies, yuck!
They had the ability to design something nice here, including the possibility of row house-style buildings…God forbid!
Always disappointing, but the buck got the better of them, I’m sure.
