Construction resumed on 360 Smith Street—one of the controversial recent-vintage Carroll Gardens developments that led some in the neighborhood to push for new zoning regs and a bigger landmark footprint—several months ago. Nowadays, some of the project’s skeleton is visible above the construction fence surrounding the closed-off subway station at 2nd and Smith, and the photo above is what the inside of the site looks like. The condo is eventually supposed to go by the moniker Oliver House.

  1. They really created a nightmare crossing situation here for everyone who used the subway entrance that had to be closed during construction. The school behind (no stranger to controversy in the neighborhood with their plans to build on their Courtyard space) got a crossing guard, which is great, but there are a lot of people in the mornings and evenings dodging traffic here and someone’s going to get hit by a vehicle turning right off 3rd street.

  2. at this point i think people would welcome anything being built/finished than the construction site blight that is there now. between that site, and the big one on court and president, grgh!!!
