When we last checked in on this 21-unit development near the corner of 4th Avenue almost exactly a year ago, it was only beginning to take shape. Now it’s looking like the finish line is in sight, though it doesn’t seem as though listings have popped up yet. As we noted a year ago, a church was demolished to make way for the development.

“Now, does that translate as sarcasm?”
No, stupidity as I asked for clarification on your POV…not you being an asshat.
Yes, I’d prefer another 12 storey POS’s all over the place, including in the land-marked areas, replacing all the cafes, restaurants, cutesy shops, and day-care providers in Park Slope.
Now, does that translate as sarcasm?
“But that autoparts store has GOT to go.”
Bupe, and you’d prefer another 12 story POS in it’s place?
Do tell…
While I could debate the need for an autoparts store on 4th, if we remove ALL commerce on 4th and replace it with 100% residential (with little to no first floor commercial) 4th Ave will become another West Side Drive (with out the view).
there used to be a chevy dealer nearby on 4’th and we bought a car there. Then we went to the auto parts store to buy things to keep it running.
Being that this is at the end of my block, I was happy to see a fairly benign building revealed when the scaffolding came down. But I sure as hell wouldn’t considering buying there knowing another 4th Ave monstrosity will be going up right next door. Sorry, but given the choice I’d keep the auto parts store.
the autopart store also used to be a church:

or did everyone already know that?
Because it’s about to become the Park Ave of Brooklyn! Duh! First the autparts store, than the taxi depot, and next thing you know, we are the next Manhattan! Glory be.
