Man, PACC is really cranking out its two projects on Washington between Fulton and Gates. A couple weeks ago we showed the progress on the west side of the avenue; today we give you a look at the work going on on the east side, the site of the brownstone teardown of last Spring. Like its sister building across the street, this building juts out several feet being the facade line of its two neighbors. This is really unfortunate as it will make them all the more obtrusive. If they’d lined up, at least they would have stood a chance of blending in somewhat. (See a close-up of how this looks across the street on the jump.) At least it appears that they are not skimping on the windows.

  1. My friend’s application to enter the lottery for this property was sent back, “return to sender, mail not retrieved” even though she sent her application in well before the deadline. Smells to me like a fixed lottery.

  2. What’s really fun about these two little projects is how it forces two sidewalks and two lanes of traffic down the middle of Washington Ave. I can’t wait for some ratty town car to run me down. Good thing the soup kitchen/church doesn’t deal firearms anymore.
