Development Watch: 525 Union Not Looking Good
Man, is this place a disappointment. The Condo market in Brooklyn deserve every ugly building they get. You want contextual, here is your contextual, ugly upon ugly. let all the buildings look the same…no imagination or creativity, all ugly. while i might not agree with Mr. Scarano’s politics and the way he went about his building, but one thing at least must be said about the design that came out of his office, they are daring, and not just everyday lame building that you pass by and not even notice. He did good trying to make his designs stand out and be creative despite all the restrictions an architect get from developers to keep a building economical. so go ahead and burn the man at the stake for trying to do something new. But many people are afraid of change and looking at things they are not familiar with, but in that case KEEP YOUR TRAPS SHUT when you see a “RUN-OF-THE-MILL NURSING HOME” building because you get what you deserve.
“How are they ever going to sell 42 of these apartments?”
By slash/slash/slash/slash/slashing the prices.
Since they are in a safe area and there is good subway access, I think people will come regardless.
Well, they’re also just a bong’s throw from the equally lovely Hotel Le Jolie, and they share a similar aesthetic as well! Lucky us!
