November 1, 2005, NY Daily News — Controversial condo towers slated for Brooklyn Bridge Park will block views of the bridge, the Chrysler Building and the lower Manhattan sklyine, a new study shows. Simulations showing how the towers would impact views were commissioned by neighborhood critics who have been battling the proposed residential development in the $150 million public park. “It’s really outrageous,” said critic Anthony Manheim, who got a grant for the images, which cost between $10,000 and $25,000. “There are visual impacts on views of major importance that have not been adequately addressed,” said Manheim, who has lobbied for the park for two decades. Park officials have said the condos will not block views of historic structures, but instead will “improve” them
