IMBY reports that a couple weeks ago the city demolished the third floor at the stalled construction site 400 15th Street. Late last year, a DOB team filed an emergency declaration on the site, and the city has filed a motion to revoke the developer’s building permit. In 2006, the owner of the site got a free pass from the BSA to build higher than zoning allows.

  1. Ever wonder what happens when your property is damaged by a less than competent developer and his incompetent contractors? Thinking of suing?
If you have a few hours to blow, we have an upcoming court date next Wednesday, January 27th. You are all welcome to sit in on the trial. Our legal system is a wonderous thing to behold.

  2. Someone should fwd this to the BSA after they were so willing to grandfather it back in 2006 after the area was rezoned.

I am reminded of the fact in the local papers/news groups the developer told the BSA he would abandon the project if it was not vested. Karma’s a bitch, no?

Guess it didn’t matter either way. Hopefully HPD will come back and finish the job in another 2 years.
