There are a few interesting numbers put forth in today’s Daily News story about the rush to lay foundations in advance of the anticipated “downzoning” of the 50-block area from 15th to 24th Streets between Fourth Avenue and Prospect Park West:

  • “On every block, there’s two or three construction sites.”–Randy Peers of CB7
  • There are at least 30 oversized project in Greenwood Heights.–Aaron Brashear of the Concerned Citizens of Greenwood Heights
  • There are five buildings with 70 units going up on 23rd Street alone.–Aaron Brashear

    1. These jackass builders on 15th St. don’t even
give the concrete a day to cure before they are
pouring new cement on top of it.

I hope Katan and Bricolage/Rudusky eat shit and
die before they get paid on these monstrocities.
(Not a threat, just wishful thinking>:P)

    2. And the bubble will burst and there will be all these two-third finished buildings that will then be outfitted with low quality stuff and sold on the cheap by developer LLCs running out of liquidity…lovely.
