In case you haven’t been by in the last week or so, Avalon Bay’s choice of brick for their project at the corner of Flatbush and Myrtle is now visible. It’s hard to see from this photo, but one reader wrote in to say that there are actually to shades of brick color (“One is more orange the other red”) and that they clash. Anyone else seen it up close?

In case no one has noticed, both the brick facing and the rest of the construction of Avalon Myrtle halted 2 weeks ago at 32nd floor. Any lowdown on this? Meanwhile Catsimatidis is showing progress and is well into the sixth story of his mixed-use bldg on Ashland/Myrtle.
