2nd Annual Maximum Perception Performance Art Festival
Join curators Peter Dobill and Phoenix Lights for a two night Performance Art Festival. This will be a showcase for twenty national and international performance artists. Ten performances per night. The Brooklyn Flea
The Brooklyn Flea takes place indoors this week at 81 Front Street in Dumbo. There will be over 40 vintage and antique vendors set up in the 6,000-square-foot space at the corner of Front and Washington Streets from 11 to 6 on both Saturday and Sunday. Take the C train to High Street or the F train to York Street. The Gifted Holiday Market continues both days at 20 East 4th Street in Manhattan as well.

Walking Tour
Partnering with the experience of GothamSideWalks, MyHome, Brooklyn will be presenting the best of Brooklyn Heights by means of a walking tour. This tour includes the projects they’ve recently completed, plus the new redevelopment opportunities they’re considering. 3rd Annual Handmade Holiday Craft Fair
3rd Ward and Brooklyn Based present the 3rd Annual Handmade Holiday Craft Fair. Buy goods by hundreds of creative gift-givers at their classic, marketplace-style craft fair. The 2009 Handmade Holiday Craft Fair showcases the wares of local artisans and craft mavens amidst live performances, winter treats, delicious drinks and free workshops. Now in its third year, the craft fair extravaganza has become a holiday-shopping-must for people who want to have fun while they shop! ‘Twas the Night Before … MONSTERS!’
Mainspring Collective and The Brooklyn Lyceum present the first installment of their new children’s theater series, Monster Literature, written and conceived by Daniel John Kelley. The first episode, ‘Twas the Night Before…MONSTERS!’ offers a new twist on an old classic when an evil wizard threatens to destroy the holiday spirit by changing the poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ by unleashing his army of silly monsters. Holiday in Windsor Terrace
Windsor Terrace Alliance (WTA) and the merchants of Prospect Park West invite you to eat, drink & stroll locally this weekend. Neighborhood businesses are offering happy hours, children’s winter story readings, live music, dinner specials, discounts and more. Come by the WTA table for free hot chocolate and enjoy a winter walk through Windsor Terrace while enjoying many of the holiday incentives. Santa in a Rickshaw!
Bring your kids to Flatbush Avenue and wave to Santa as he takes a ride on Flatbush Avenue in his Rickshaw. Santa will be making special stops along his route down Flatbush Avenue so the children can have the opportunity to get a quick pic and let him know what they have on their holiday gift list. To continue the holiday spirit on Flatbush Avenue, Bert the famous children’s Face Painter will be decorating children’s faces inside Healthy Nibbles Organic Lounge located at 305 Flatbush Avenue. The BID will also be handing out magic colorful paper dreidels as this will be the first day of Hanukkah. Saturday, December 12. 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Free. Flatbush Avenue from Bergen St. to Plaza Street.
Brunch with Santa!
Town Square is sponsoring a Brunch With Santa at Radegast Hall & Biergarten on Saturday. Now this is brunch done right. There will be music, arts & crafts, raffle prizes, and a chance to give Santa your special wish list and take a photo with him! They will also be collecting canned and boxed food donations for Craig’s Kitchen to help brighten other people’s holidays as well. Please join and donate!
