Collect Dumbo: Halloween Art Crawl
The Crawl includes numerous participating galleries, Halloween themed special events, a Depaz Rum Cocktail Lounge, a special Boo cocktail at Rebar and a dance party at the UnderWater Lounge. We encourage you to wear art inspired Halloween costumes. The Artlog.com Collect events are private one night art open houses devoted to introducing new collectors and art lovers to art communities across NYC. Monster Mash Festival
Witches, ghouls, and princesses can enjoy the Museum’s fun-filled, themed programs for two nights. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend dressed in their best Halloween finery. There will be several activities for kids to enjoy including a pumpkin carving contest! All daytime programs are included with general Museum admission and due to the popularity of the parties every year, it is recommend to purchase tickets in advance at the Museum’s admissions desk. Friday & Saturday, October 30 & 31. 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. 145 Brooklyn Avenue, Brooklyn Children’s Museum.
Brooklyn Flea
The Brooklyn Flea takes place in Ft. Greene on Saturday and its historic Brooklyn Bridge location on Sunday. Both locations feature a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and food. Saturday, October 31. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, Lafayette Avenue between Clermont and Vanderbilt Avenues. Sunday, November 1. 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. In Dumbo, underneath the Brooklyn Bridge at the corner of Water and New Dock Street.

Habana Halloween Kid’s Party and Last Call Party
Bring your little monsters and ghouls down for a free Habana Halloween party. Candy, games, crafts, prizes and more! Then later on in the night, adults can enjoy the Last Call Party with DJ Juice E in the Lowpost lounge (below Habana Outpost). There will be free giveaways throughout the night and a costume contest at Midnight! Saturday, October 31. 11th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest
Embarrass your dogs by dressing them up and showing them off for this year’s Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest! The three top prize winners will have custom rosettes! Prizes are donated by Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital, Bittersweet, Theater Mania, Square Root Cafe, Who’s Your Doggy, ScooterFood, Gnarly Vines, Green Pets, Michael Allen Desserts, and Green in BKLYN. Saturday, October 31. Registration at 11:30 a.m. Judging at 12 p.m. $5 suggested donation. The stairs below the monument, Fort Greene Park.
2009 NYCOBA-NOMA Student Conference

Please join the student conference for this one day affair where speakers and panelists will discuss today’s issues as it relates to architectural education and professional practice. Halloween at Green-Wood
Celebrate the holiday with tales of murder, mayhem, spirits, and ghosts on Green-Wood’s annual Halloween walking tour with Green-Wood historian Jeff Richman. This is a very, very popular tour, so arrive early. There will be a second tour if you miss the first on the very next day (Sunday, November 1). You can purchase tickets online from the link above. Saturday, October 31. 1 p.m. $20. Meeting Point: Inside the main entrance at 25th Street at 5th Avenue.
The Last Masquerade
The Danger, 3rd Ward & Artists Wanted have joined forces to present The Last Masquerade. Three vast spaces in the dark heart of Brooklyn have been re-imagined for this all-night adventure. Over three dozen artists and performers will infuse these forgotten structures with a pre-apocalyptic fairy-tale built on music, mischief and a heavy dose of the unexpected. Saturday, October 31. 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. 21 and older welcome. $20. 260 Meserole Street, 3rd Ward.
