Cypress Hills Walking Tour

Park Slope Walking Tour
Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment hosts a tour of Park Slope led by Matt Postal. Discover the neighborhood’s mansions designed by local architects with a focus on those in Queen Anne, Romanesque, and neo-Georgian styles. Brooklyn Museum: First Saturday
Tomorrow the Brooklyn Museum continues its First Saturday series. This Saturday celebrates Caribbean culture, featuring live music, film, a Pan-Caribbean dance party and more. Charles Moore Dance Theater and Percussion Ensemble perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Stop by the Museum Café for sandwiches, salads, and beverages; the cash bar offers wine and beer. 2007 Grimaldo’s Mile
This Sunday, August 5, the annual swimming race starts near the Coney Island boardwalk and finishes in Brighton Beach. An awards ceremony at the end includes prizes for the fastest men and women as well as for costumes. Registration costs $45 if done by midnight tonight, Friday, August 3.   1. Thanks for the tip on the Park Slope walking tour. It was led by an engaging guide who works in research for the NYC Landmarks Commission, and its focus was on “post brownstone” Park Slope. It was a great couple hours. Everyone should click through the links and pay heed to the tour schedules.
