Four Greenpoint bars will be participating in the first Great Greenpoint Mac-Off. The bar crawl offers customers the opportunity to experience North Brooklyn’s diverse offerings of macaroni and cheese while benefiting from drink specials from each bar. Red Star starts it off, then The Habitat, The Mark Bar, and finally, t.b.d. Brooklyn. At t.b.d., local “celebrity” judges and participants will decide the winner.

Shorts For Dogs
Willie’s Dawgs is hosting a short film festival to benefit the Stone House Dog Run. Enjoy award-winning short films, popcorn, beer, and Willie’s hotdogs (and veggie dogs too).

Crossing Newtown Creek: Contrasting Industrial Brooklyn and Queens
“Crossing Newtown Creek: Contrasting Industrial Brooklyn and Queens” is a tour with host, Jack Eichenbaum. The tour will go through Greenpoint and cross the Pulaski Bridge connecting Brooklyn to Long Island City. Along the way, see the remnants of industrial development that thrived along Newtown Creek during the late nineteenth century and see the redevelopment of the waterfront area in Long Island City.
Sunday, March 22. 1-3 p.m. $13. Meet outside the Greenpoint Avenue station (G train) at the corner of Manhattan Avenue.

Winter Pop-Up Flea
This weekend, Vintage + Modern Inc. is the guest curator for the Dumbo Winter Pop-Up Flea. The Flea features 35 top vintage/antique vendors of furniture, clothing, objects, jewelry, curiosities, accessories, art, lighting, and food. For more details on all the vendors, click here.
