2009 Brooklyn Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
The annual Brooklyn Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is back. The parade will start in Park Slope at Prospect Park West and 15th Street and will march down. Get there early to pick out a good viewing spot.
Sunday, March 15. 1 p.m. Free.

Prospect Park Moonlight Ride
Discover Prospect Park at night. This is a safe, peaceful ride that visits many of the little-known treasures the park has to offer. Bring your own bike or roller blades.
Saturday, March 14. 9 p.m. Free. Meet at Grand Army Plaza.

Winter Pop-Up Flea
This weekend, Cool Hunting is the guest curator for the Dumbo Winter Pop-Up Flea. The Flea features 35 top vintage/antique vendors of furniture, clothing, objects, jewelry, curiosities, accessories, art, lighting, and food. For more details on all the vendors, click here.

Brooklyn Lyceum Craft Market: ‘Specially For Kids
Brooklyn Lyceum’s Craft Market is just for kids. There will be local artisans and artists representing their best merchandise and crafts specifically geared toward the birth-10 year old set. The market also features hands-on demos and arts and crafts, haircutting and braiding, facepainting, a toy swap, a portrait photographer, Sunshine Again theatre, and more.

Opening Reception for “Casual Conversations in Brooklyn”
“Casual Conversations in Brooklyn” is an anthropological inquiry into Brooklyn’s immigrant communities. The project is based on a series of public dialogues, interactions, and conversations staged in Brighton Beach. The exhibit runs through June 14.

Sketchbook Project Tour

NYC Beard & Moustache Championships
The NYC Beard & Moustache Championships is back and in Brooklyn. Contestants will be divided into eight categories: Full Beard Natural, Full Beard Freestyle, Patchy Beard, Recession Beard, Goatee, Moustache, Sideburns, and Ladies Artificial. There will be live music, stand-up comedians, and burlesque dancers.
