Making Brooklyn Bloom
GreenBridge presents the 28th Annual Making Brooklyn Bloom. The theme is “Growing Up Green: Guiding Youth from Gardening to Green-Collar Jobs” and and is dedicated to informing Brooklynites about ways to green their neighborhoods by mobilizing youth towards gardening and growing fresh food. There will be 16 workshops, interactive exhibits, a green-collar jobs panel, and a presentation called “A Brooklyn Girl’s Food Voice: Three Generations of Growing Food” by Annie Hauck-Lawson, author of Gastropolis: Food & New York City. Admission is free if you print out and bring this flyer.

Culver Community Garden Rally
The Culver Community Garden Committee invites you to a rally in support of a community garden at the 9th Avenue D train station. There will be free food, free drinks, and live music. Sign their petition and help them show the MTA that the community wants green space.

Winter Pop-Up Flea
This weekend, Cool Hunting is the guest curator for the Dumbo Winter Pop-Up Flea. The Flea features 35 top vintage/antique vendors of furniture, clothing, objects, jewelry, curiosities, accessories, art, lighting, and food. For more details on all the vendors, click here.

Northside Town Hall Art Event
Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG) and the People’s Firehouse, Inc. (PFI) were awarded the rights to re-develop the former Engine 212 Firehouse into a full-service community and cultural center. Their inaugural art exhibition is Running” by Michael Ballou.

Arts in Bushwick Presents SITE
The Bushwick SITE Festival is a two day event, highlighting the diversity of performance in Bushwick. Encompassing theatre, dance, music, and other forms of performance art, SITE seeks to expand the interaction between spectators and spectacle, as both artists and visitors move through a plethora of spaces, events, media, and styles. The festival centers around three hub spaces: Chez Bushwick, the Bushwick Starr, Lumenhouse, and Grace Exhibition Space.

Ice Skating Show with Oksana Baiul

Myrtle Windows Gallery Presents Ordinary Wonderful
Opening tonight is the second Myrtle Windows Gallery exhibition, a program that turns Myrtle Avenue into an open-air art gallery. This solo exhibition features the photos of Brooklyn-based Trevor Brown, who explores the beauty in the ordinary things in Brooklyn.
