Modern Day Depression-Era Fundraiser
City Reliquary is holding a Depression-themed party to raise money to pay their rent. Events will include a “Pie the Landlord” booth, a fortune teller, hobo photos, and DIY fingerless gloves. There will also be Prohibition-era beer, Depression-era movies, and music.

Town Hall Meeting on Foreclosures and Predatory Lending
Representative Edolphus Ed Towns (NY-10) will host a town hall meeting in response to the public outcry about the prevalence of predatory lending and its impacts on Brooklyn communities. In Brooklyn, the problem forced foreclosures and a decrease of affordable housing. Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes will also be attending to address these issues. The event is open to the public.

Collective Art Show
General Particular is hosting a Collective Art show. The show consists of works by 20 established and up and coming artists. Opening reception is tonight and the exhibition opens on Saturday.

6th Annual Folk Feet Dance Showcase
The 6th Annual Folk Feet Dance Showcase will exhibit the funeral traditions of certain Brooklyn immigrants and how they incorporate dance and music in celebration of the deceased. Attend the event to experience these different cultures.
