Bird’s Grand Opening

Brooklyn for Barack Volunteer Fair
More than 65 local nonprofits, charities, and advocacy groups will join together for the first-ever “Continue the Change Service Fair.” The fair will also include roundtable discussions and a “make-and-take” craft table for kids.

The Dillon Center Cocktail Party & Auction
The Dillon Center is hosting a cocktail party and fundraising auction. Appetizers will be donated by Anima, Bonita, The General Greene, No. 7, and more. Besides food, there will be cocktails from The Greene Grape, Gnarly Vines, and Union Beer and an auction.

Clothing Swap at Macon Library
Clothing swaps can help you save money in this economy. So clean out your closet full of clothes you’re not wearing and look for a few new pieces to add to your collection. Any clothing left over will be donated to the Salvation Army and local shelters.

Grace Church Fair
Grace Church is holding its annual Winterfair. There will be items for sale, activities for kids, and food. At 6:30 p.m., there will be a gala cocktail reception and a silent auction. The fair is free and the gala is $25.

651 ARTS and The Irondale Ensemble Project Present In This Place
In This Place, a play written and directed by Ain Gordon, Samuel and Daphney Oldham are the first free African-Americans to build their own home in Lexington, KY. Five years later, they disappear. The play is told from Daphney’s perspective and features Brooklyn’s, Michelle Hurst.
