Stand-Up for Chanukah
Stand-Up for Chanukah offers kosher cutting-edge comedy. This evening of entertainment will be headlined by Avi Liberman of CBS’s “Late Late Show” with Craig Ferguson of Comedy Central’s “Make Me Laugh” and NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” Also appearing on stage will be Chad Kaplan, from “The Big Mockers” and Jerry Kahn, ranked as the #1 Jewish Comic by Google and MSN.

A Drive For the Stuy
Arise Collective presents A Drive for the Stuy, a fundraiser event in partnership with the Bed Stuy Campaign Against Hunger. This food and clothing drive event will feature live hip-hop, dancing, spoken word, live grafitti, and a silent auction.

Community Bookstore Holiday Party
Community Bookstore is hosting a Holiday Party for the neighborhood. The party is also a drive for Toys for Tots so bring a small toy to donate. The event will feature a reading of A Child’s Christmas in Wales, music, and more.

Christmas Bird Count
Enjoy bird watching with Audubon Naturalists. This tradition (now in its 109th year) is a nationwide bird census that helps conservation researchers track the long-term health of bird populations.

Hustlemamas Holiday Party
Hustlemamas, R4M Inc, J. Bourne Entertainment, and Deity Lounge present this Family Holiday Party and Toy/Gift Drive. Bring the family and enjoy dancing, face painting, and music. Adults are $10 (or bring one new unwrapped toy for a child and a gift for a mother) and kids are free. Donations will benefit the Rose F. Kennedy Family Center in Bed Stuy, a transitional shelter for young homeless mothers and their children.

Sunset Park Tree Lighting
Friends of Sunset Park will hold a tree lighting ceremony in the park. The first tree to be lit will be on the lower path, the second tree will be up the hill, and the last tree to be lit will be located in front of the Recreation Center.
