BETA Spaces (Bushwick Exhibition Triangle of Alternative Spaces) presented by Arts in Bushwick is a one-day festival of curated exhibitions. The festival will feature exhibitions in alternative venues like apartments, studios and street corners as well as galleries. It will take place within an approximately 10-block triangle south of Johnson/Cypress Street, east of Bushwick Avenue, and west of Starr Street. Also at the festival will be a discussion forum at Bushwick IMPACT exploring issues of sustainbility, gentrification, displacement and change among Bushwick residents.

Sunset Park Alliance of Neighbors Meeting
The next SPAN meeting will focus on the planning for the November 12th Sunset Park Town Hall Meeting. Get involved in neighborhood issues including fair housing and development concerns.

The Brooklyn Kitchen’s Ramen-Off
The Brooklyn Kitchen will be hosting a Ramen-Off in honor of its second birthday. It’s time to get creative and make a dish with the main ingredient as instant ramen noodles. All dishes must arrive ready to serve.

TBF’s Shades of Green
The Bag Fund is a nonprofit organization that supports the creative process by providing artists with studio space and technical support at critical points. They are having their first annual fundraising gala, Shades of Green,” which represents the growing intersection between the green movement and the arts community. There will be cocktails and music.

Hunt in Prospect Park with Steve Brill
Naturalist/author “Wildman” Steve Brill will lead one of his world-famous Wild Food and Ecology Tours of the Prospect Park. The park is filled with edible and medicinal wild plants and mushrooms which makes the park a great place for foraging.
Saturday. November 7. 11:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. $15 suggested donation for adults, $10 for children. Meet at Prospect Park’s Grand Army Plaza entrance.

Flatbush Daffodil Project
Sustainable Flatbush continues this event for the community. Join them in the last weekend for planting daffodil bulbs on your street.

70th Precinct Community Council Street Fair
The 70th Precinct Community Council is hosting a street fair for the community. There will be rides, food, pony rides, public safety materials, and more.
