Downtown Brooklyn Audio Tour
Tomorrow, and every Saturday in November, a group called Anyplace, Brooklyn sponsors a free audio-guided walking tour of the history and near future of Downtown Brooklyn. The tour runs every five minutes between noon and 2 p.m. from the picnic tables at Willoughby and Adams Streets. Bring a CD player or download the audio file to your MP3 player ahead of time.

Bed Stuy Community Forum
Today, Senator Velmanette Montgomery and Rev. Lawrence E. Aker III, Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, are sponsoring a community forum. It will feature community-based organizations, as well as state and local agencies, who will offer information about their services and programs. Gowanus Wildlife Preserve Showcase

Rising Sun: A Vodou Drama of Death and Rebirth
Today, Makandal presents its eighth annual Rising Sun series at South Oxford Space in Fort Greene. The cycle dramatizes Vodou rites of November, December, and January. Audra Rox Concert Benefiting PS 11
On Saturday at 4 p.m. Audra Rox of Music for Aardvarks fame will give a concert at PS 11 to benefit the elementary school’s PTA. Tickets are $10 in advance ($12 at the door) and can be purchased by visiting the PS11 website at PS11Brooklyn.org. PS11 is at 419 Waverly Avenue between Greene and Gates.

Take Over BAM
Saturday, Brooklyn Academy of Music hosts an all-night party featuring music from Heartless Bastards, Dirty on Purpose, Be Your Own Pet, The Exit, and AntiBalas. Films will be playing all night, including a mid-career retrospective of Lindsay Lohan, collections on animals and punk rock, and The Pusher Trilogy. DJs will spin all night. Lights Out: Spooky Sound Plays

From Stills to Reels
