Green Fort Greene & Clinton Hill and the FAB Alliance in partnership with New York Restoration Project and MillionTreesNYC are giving away 300 FREE TREES on Saturday. Bring your friends and family to the “Putnam Triangle” in Clinton Hill and leave with a tree to plant in your front or back yard, at your business, or at your church, school or apartment complex (as long as it’s private property). Panel: Re-Examining Carl Furillo
Ted Reed, a veteran reporter and author of the new book Carl Furillo: Brooklyn Dodgers All-Star, will speak about Furillo’s career and two little-explored events that have shaped perceptions of the Dodgers right-fielder: Furillo’s supposed opposition to Jackie Robinson joining the Dodgers and Furillo’s suit against the Dodgers for injuries. Judith Testa, a former college professor and author of Sal Maglie: Baseball’s Demon Barber, will speak about the twists and turns in the relationship between Furillo and Maglie. The Brooklyn Flea
The winter Flea is located at Skylight One Hanson (the former Williamsburgh Savings Bank across from the Atlantic Center mall) on Saturdays and Sundays. The Inflatable Sculpture Show
The 3rd Ward Inflatable Sculpture students have been working their hardest, designing and sewing their mega-masterpieces. On March 26th, the students will be put to the test and their creations will be inflated and let loose on both of their floors! As you navigate your way through all the pieces, also enjoy free drinks and music from R.C. Bankwell and a special appearance by Anney Fresh’s Space Kittys. Brooklyn Night Bazaar Community Meeting
There will be a community meeting this Saturday in regards to the Brooklyn Night Bazaar that will be held from June to October this summer. Aaron Broudo, the producer of the bazaar, will inform the community about the event and the precautions made to limit nuisances. All are welcome to attend!
