Opera: Henry’s Wife and Eichmann in Jerusalem
Henry’s Wife will be performed in a pairing with Eichmann in Jerusalem, a new opera that details the trial and demise of Nazi officer Adolf Eichmann, the infamous “architect of the Holocaust.” Eichmann, the fifth installment in an operatic monodrama series: new works developed and/or commissioned and presented by AOP, will feature baritone Ross Benoliel (New York City Opera, Glimmerglass Opera), with Jody Schum music directing and string quartet accompaniment. The Brooklyn Flea
The winter Flea is located at Skylight One Hanson (the former Williamsburgh Savings Bank across from the Atlantic Center mall) on Saturdays and Sundays. The Flea features over a 100 vendors offering a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and food. Saturday & Sunday, March 19 & 20. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Free. One Hanson Place/Williamsburg Savings Bank.

Reading: Paul Shaw
Writer and designer Paul Shaw will be stopping by BookCourt to share his thoughts on the versatile font’s rise in the New York City subway system. He’ll track the history of the system’s signage, from the end of the 1960s to today, as well as answer any other font-based questions on the subway; copies of his limited-edition book, now in its second printing, will also be for sale. Lunetta serves Japanese
Once a month, the restaurant, Lunetta, serves Ramen and other Japanese goodies such as spicy chicken wings and Japanese beer. This Saturday, the pop-up takes place during lunch service for only a short time. All are welcome except spaghetti (well, at least for a few hours).
