Inspired by Green-Wood: A Visit with Artist Saul Chernick
Green-Wood is proud to present the Greenwood Heights neighbor and artist, Saul Chernick. With his unique ink-on-paper style, Chernick creates zany, consummately skillful drawings (The New York Times) with the episodic and atmospheric feel of a gothic graphic novel. Chernick, a big fan of Green-Wood who often strolls the grounds for inspiration, has created an extraordinary panorama of Green-Wood that measures 4 inches high by 34 feet long. During this program, Chernick will talk about his Green-Wood series, as well as other selected works. Sunday, January 30. 1 p.m. $5 suggested donation. Green-Wood Cemetery.
