Deborah Brown Opening

Deborah Brown will be showing her paintings this Friday. The interesting thing about this collection is that it centers around Bushwick. Her work will feature anything from the area including, but not limited to, barbed-wire to sneakers dangling from telephone wires. All are welcome. Filipa Castro & Guillaume Gilbert Opening
The work of Filipa Castro and Guillaume Gilbert will be shown from April 2nd until May 24th. The sensation of light is a consistent thread throughout the work of Filipa Castro and The work of Guillaume Gilbert portrays the urban areas of both New York City and Paris. The Brooklyn Flea
The Flea is located at the former bank at One Hanson for the rest of the winter. The clocktower Art Deco building at Flatbush Ave., across from the Target mall, will be the Flea’s new home every Saturday and Sunday through April 3rd & 4th. The Flea features 100 vendors and a great mix of vintage, antiques, jewelry, and food. Saturday & Sunday, April 3 & 4. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Free. 1 Hanson Place, Skylight One Hanson.

Spring Egg Hunt
Every spring, hundreds of children and their families turn out to participate in the annual Spring Egg Hunt at Pierrepont Playground. Everyone is welcome to participate. Saturday, April 3. 10 a.m. Free. Pierrepont Playground, Brooklyn Heights.

Senator’s Easter Egg Hunt
Participation is free in each of the egg hunts, which will feature music and prizes for the youngsters, who will be occupied searching for the over 1,000 candy-filled eggs that will be hidden in each of the parks. Also, part of the fun will be races, face painting and entertainment provided by clowns. (FYI – there are long lines and a limit of eggs per child). Roommates Wanted Mixer
Roommates Wanted will be hosting another event at Williamsburg’s Alligator Lounge this upcoming Sunday. As always this event is free, drink specials are in the offing and of course there will be pizza. If you are in search of a roommate this is an excellent opportunity. Check it out!
