Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy Green Team
The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy’s Green Team of volunteer stewards have returned to the Main Street section of Brooklyn Bridge Park for the 2010 season. Green Team members can donate their time to provide critical care for the much-used park located at Main and Plymouth Streets. Children are invited, but must be accompanied by an adult. COWNA General Meeting
The Spring General Meeting of the Columbia Waterfront Neighborhood Association will take place this Wednesday. The agenda will include a presentation by Ana Baptiste of the Ironbound Community Corp. on behalf of the Coalition for Healthy Ports, a review of progress in their efforts to improve safety on Columbia Street, the status of the Columbia Street Reconstruction Project, and much more. Simon Shaheen and the Near East Music Ensemble
The noted Arab musician, Simon Shaheen, will be performing at P.S. 58. In 1994, Shaheen was honored with the prestigious National Heritage Award at the White House. Community Volunteer Fair
