Mardi Gras Parade
This event will feature a marching band and burlesque dancers. There will be costumed revelers – bicyclists are invited to join. The festivities will continue with a FREE Wavves and MNDR show at Brooklyn Bowl, as well as the crowning of the King and Queen of Mardi Gras with an awarding of alcohol related prizes. Knitting Circle
Are you into knitting and need a way to socialize as well? On Wednesdays you can join a knitting circle and work on current or new projects with others. All are welcome and make sure you give a call before you go because their programs are subject to change. The NYC Firefighter Date – Auction
The FIRE SALE New York City Firefighter Date-Auction is hosted in conjunction with the Reliquary’s newest exhibit: “Company Journals of the Southside Firehouse”curated by Firefighter Pat D’Emic of Hook & Ladder Company 104. This show uses the daily log book entries of our local FDNY firehouse to explain a rich history of the fire service in north Brooklyn. There will be tunes spun by the Reliquary’s very own DJ Stachemaster, and live entertainment provided by Blindspot, a 90s cover band led by Brooklyn Ladder 104’s very own Chris Amengual, this benefit is simply too hot to miss. Winter Recess Camp
Our Lady of Angels School (soon to become Holy Angels Academy) will host a Winter Recess Camp for boys and girls ages 4 through 16. The program includes basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, ice skating, arts and crafts, movies, “Bounce U”, and, depending on the weather, sleighing. Monday – Friday, February 15th – 19th.
