This event is a holiday variety show benefiting the homeless. Performers include Todd Barry, Wyatt Cenac, Tom Shilue, hosted by Gabe Liedman and Jenny Slate. The proceeds will benefit RunTellmanRun Entrepreneur Tellman Knudson who is running across the country barefoot, raising $100 million for the homeless. He is funding the run himself, so 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to shelters and homes assisting homeless youth. For more details, check out his site. Tuesday, December 22. Opening of Union Market
The 4,000 sq. ft. store – designed and constructed using green building practices – is significantly larger than the two Park Slope locations. Caroling in Sunset Park
Our Lady of Perpetual Help will be caroling this Monday around Sunset Park. Carolers will meet at the rectory for a night of singing traditional Christmas carols. Kwanzaa Celebration
This festive celebration featuring James Stovall and Leanet Noble, explores the seven principles of Kwanzaa through music, dance, and spoken word. Toy Drive and Holiday Dinner
Former Bed-Stuy resident, La Toya, is hosting a toy drive and holiday dinner for the needy and homeless. Toys brought by volunteers will be donated to the Interfaith Medical hospital pediatric ward.
