Mobile Mammography Van
Because early detection saves lives, Council Member Letitia James has joined with The American-Italian Cancer Foundation to bring a Mobile Mammography vehicle to Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Please make an appointment between the hours of 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. by calling 1-800-453-8378 ext 1. The mammograms are performed by a certified, licensed mammography technologist in conjunction with the Multi-Diagnostic Services (MDS). CB7 Buildings & Construction Committee Meeting
The CB7 buildings & construction committee meeting will be reviewing their ongoing list of problem construction sites in the area, along with NYC Buildings Department “Stalled Sites Program” (and a list of stalled sites in the area), NYC Buildings Department “45 Day Public Challenge” process, and much more. Committee Meeting
CNR the developer of homes for the elderly is hosting a meeting this week regarding their proposal to build a new center on Lefferts Place. Some believe there are better solutions than CNR’s desire to up-zone the entire block or street to build a larger facility. Come and voice your opinion at this committee meeting. The Brooklyn Play
This 45 minute play is part theatre piece, part travel guide, and part oral history; stuffed to the brim with video, puppetry, field recordings and faux historical re-enactments. “Brooklyn Play” is Zebra Crossing’s attempt to express (some of) the many identities and experiences of Brooklyn.
